Many good points you made above. One of the mistakes that I have made, but hopefully won’t again, is to try to go after the most trafficked keywords. I even got on to page one for a few of them, but now realize that it isn’t so much that page one isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, but rather the fact that some keywords are “buyer keywords” and some are just more informational. It’s funny, too that people don’t totally optimize their domain. But, hey, that just makes holes on page one for us to fill, right?
